Apart from breaking commandments I've been busy booking accomodation in Italy. Two out of the places I've booked had their information in Italian, so my language study has finally paid off.
I smiled as I read the promotional material for a place in Altamura called La Colomba.
They proudly state, "Le staff parla Italiano."
The staff speak Italian.
Altamura is a city of about 70,000 people down by the heel of the boot that is Italia.
Italians often speak their local dialect, so La Colomba is just advising Italian tourists that the national language is spoken by their staff. I don't think we'll get much English in Altramura, which is fine by me.
Well I'm off to practise Italian and guitar.
Have a good Saturday and remember to keep the blogging commandments.
