Potter was stuck at home for four more days. His partner, whom he referred to as 'The One in a Skirt' had gone down to Wellington on business and taken their car. This left Potter stuck by the beach in Waikanae.
This put a lot of things out of easy reach. Cricket was off the list until The One in a Skirt returned, as was croquet.
It was also a very long walk to town. What was Potter to do?

Potter had a blog. Actually, Potter had many blogs. He'd started off with one he named Old Grumpy.

A little later he started another blog about beer and called it The Beer Chap.

Soon the floodgates opened and he finished up with an organisation he called Old Grumpies Unlimited.
Blogs soon appeared with titles like Father McGrumpy, The Proofreading Grump, The Grumpy Philosopher, The Fashion Conscious Grump and many more.
Okay, you have to remember that Potter was old, so he didn't really cut it with younger readers. He had five regular readers:
- Another blogger who was a devoted Presbyterian and called his blog Trent the loving truck driver.
- Sarah Clintock, who was well into her 90s and lived next door. Sarah was almost blind, so reading was hard going for her.
- A blogger who had devoted a lot of his life to playing the bagpipes. He called his blog Terry's Pipes.
- Someone who lived in Denmark and came across Old Grumpy purely by chance while checking out hundreds of blogs.
- Someone called Anonymous.

That sounds familiar.
RispondiEliminaI don't understand why you would say that.
RispondiEliminaI can see this post really taking off with comments.
RispondiElimina4
RispondiElimina5
RispondiElimina6 now!
RispondiEliminaI wonder if Peter and Robert ever get this many comments?
RispondiEliminaI doubt it.
RispondiEliminaYou should put as much effort into actually writing posts as you do in fabricating bogus comments.
RispondiEliminaRobert was just saying.
Makes about as much sense as Richard's comments ...... bugger, 10 now.
RispondiElimina12 actually.
