Bigotry: NOUN

Brother Benedict strode around the classroom. All the boys were quiet and trying to avoid his attention. Why? Because they were scared. First, he singled out Johhny Boy and moved in close to look at his work. As he looked, his hand found its way up Johnny's short trousers. Other boys were aware of this, but grateful that they had not yet been chosen. For most of them, their time would come.

Next door Brother Leon was in the process of caning his entire class because a few boys had giggled in assembly. Later on, his hand was up the pants of a few of the 'good boys'. 

Later Brother Benedict's boys would have some physical activity: to cut the lawn in front of the Brothers' residence with scissors. Yes, scissors!

Those were the days!
