...and I've got to drive to Upper Hutt!
I'll take my pills and head off at about 7.30am because I need to drop Nef at Waterloo Station.
I've booked a motel in Wellington so I can go to that Jazz jam. Maybe I shouldn't have, but I'll go ahead with it now. It's on at a place called The Undercurrent in Tory St. and starts at 8pm. A late night for me!
Fun.
Enjoy your day.
Sin, if you need to.

“The Undercurrent” is an apt name for the place given the flooding in the Mount Cook Wellington area.
RispondiEliminaI hope the jam goes well.
I hope you don't get jammed in the undercurrent or you might need a ship like the Tory to come to your rescue. Have fun and I doubt if there will be any occasion to sin at a jazz concert apart from the drugs.
RispondiEliminaDrugs?
EliminaYou're both so positive!
RispondiEliminaSo, how did the jazzjam go?
RispondiEliminaI'm lying in bed in a motel near the Basin Reserve. We got back quite late - close to 11, I think. There were good musicians at the jam and some nice people to chat with. My part in the playing was unfortunately very little. I got put on with a group of young musicians who largely ignored me as they played a couple of pieces that they'd obviously played together many times before. That's not how a jam usually works. To finish things off, we got soaked walking back to the motel. I guess that playing solo and unaccompanied is my thing from now on. I was impressed by the skills of some of the young double bass players who sat in. Ah well, that's life.
RispondiEliminaOK, but Robert will say that lying is a sin.
RispondiEliminaWho is lying?
RispondiElimina“I’m lying in bed …” is a good clue.
RispondiEliminaSoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo funny!
RispondiEliminaGo write a post! :-(
RispondiEliminaGo have a coffee …
Elimina… on second thought, don’t if you’re still lying in bed.
