We've had an awful lot of rain.

I might need to build one of these if it doesn't stop soon.

Richard (of RBB)'s Ark
I won't really be getting elephants and giraffes. I mean, how would I? Okay, there are giraffes at Roma zoo but they would be hard to move to my ark which would be in Nuova Lazio. I'd certainly be able to take a couple of dogs, but I'd probably leave the bloody cats to fend for themselves.
Rats? I don't think so. It would be hard to find kiwis and most other birds could fly. I'd probably concentrate mainly on people - Bin Hire, Angry Jesus, The The The Guy and others. There probably wouldn't be room for all those Curmudgeons and I think Robert has a kayak. TSB would probably be on his own because he lives too far away.
Hey, don't get too worked up about this because the rain is probably going to stop before the water gets deep enough to flood Nuova Lazio. We're quite a way above sea level.
Carry on as usual would be my advice.

I;m not surprised as Nuovo Lazio is built in a bloody swamp. It's not an Ark you need, it's . . .well it doesn't matter anyway, you're all doomed. What size of shoes do you use?

Yes, after a period of stunningly beautiful weather a big storm brew up last night and is expected to last several days.
I've been receiving Civil Defence rain warnings and hope that we don't get an 'event' in the area as I'd be called out.
I don't fancy going out in this weather (without an ark).

You can borrow mine. It's clearing up down here.

I was driving around the eastern bays today and I saw a perfect rainbow. It ended exactly on Days Bay Wharf. It crossed my mind that maybe I should pull over and find that elusive pot of gold.
My wife was in a hurry so I contemplated the first rainbow instead.
The first rainbow was seen just after the flood.
I can not explain it but there you go.

"The first rainbow was seen just after the flood."

OK.
When was the first bout of e-Coli?
The first ejaculation?
The first earthquake? (non related)
The first drinking of an animal's milk by humans?

Etc.

Hey!
Why do we never see any posts written by Richard in the evening?
Is there some sort of curfew going on in his household?

THE WINE GUY ha detto...

It's because there is an embargo on the opening of chardonnay before midday.
Once this deadline is passed and said chardonnay is partaken of you can kiss goodbye to any sensible posts.

Hey!
I just realised that there is a serious flaw in the logic of that last comment.

Robert ha detto...

There's also a serious flaw in your thinking about creation.
E-coli was noticed this century and it came from monkeys how do you explain that?
The first ejacualtion .. have you had one?
The first earthquake is when you will.
The first drinking of milk was Eve's Son.
