12 things to practise.

Okay, I kicked off my practice for the new year yesterday - both violin and double bass (an hour each).

Oops, sorry, that's a cello!

I plan to put a lot of time into time feel, especially on the bass. That means that the metronome will be very busy this year.

I've also singled out 12 technical things that I want to concentrate on and I plan to work on three of them each day. I won't bore you with the details for two reasons:

  • Some readers won't be interested.
  • If you're planning on practising too, maybe you should work out your own plan.
I'll also be continuing to work on listening and playing like a person sings.

It'll be good to catch up with Peter in February. It seems he is keen for a tour. I'll be very careful not to say, "Wainuiomartians are smarter than people from Whangarei." (see my last post) I don't want Peter racing off up north before it is time.

Well, that just about wraps things up for today.
Might be time for some breakfast.
Enjoy your day.

  4. Well, the O string is a hard one to hear because it doesn't exist.
