Wow! What a cold morning. I'm certainly not in Tunisia!
I started reworking A Night in Tunisia yesterday. It's a tune I've played for quite a while, but I want to take it to the next level. There are some tricky little bits that will certainly add to it. Unfortunately, I have a sore left arm elbow (I've had it for a while) and some of my left hand fingers are a little stiff. I'll have to be careful, but practice must go on.
Bass practice has been going well. Surprisingly the big bass is a bit gentler on my left hand elbow.
I hope you're all using our LINKS to read the blogs available there.
That's it for this morning.
Ciao tutti.

Yes, good point. That #9 on the Gb comes out as an A.
Oops. I thought I was answering a comment. Well, I felt sure I would have a comment or two by now!
What? No comments?
Nothing about Mozart's Requiem or Haydn's silly cello concerto?
I'll take it that sinning is okay then?
Ah, who needs confession?
I dunno. Catholics? They're the only ones silly enough to believe in all that rubbish.
There was a cock-up on the concert front yesterday. Lynn booked the tickets months ago and told me that the concert was Thursday at 7.30 and she'd meet me there after work.
I checked with Michael Fowler Centre as to when the doors would open to be told there was nothing scheduled that day. I checked on-line and Mozart's Requiem is Saturday (tomorrow) two days later. He beats Jesus's record by a day!
Well, you'll have to listen to Haydn's silly cello concerto tonight.
"Hey! Din!"
This was a commonly heard shout from Franz Joseph's Viennese neighbours when he was practising.
Funny man, Thorndon guy!
"Hey Dizzy stop banging those rubbish can lids".
This was heard in Texas when Dizzy Gillespie was looking for something to write his tune "Interlude" on.
Where in the world are you today Carmen Santiago?
