Now that Roberto has laid claim to the Italian thing, I've decided to switch my energy to the trumpet.
I only have a plastic trumpet, but that's okay - I do have a very good mouthpiece.
I'd like to build up a bit of a trumpet repertoire and increase my range a bit. It's ages since I've taken the trumpet seriously, but it'll be a bit of fun. Anyway, I have no one to talk Italian to these days, so why bother?
I think I'll kick off with Autumn Leaves. The trumpet is a transposing instrument, so you have to relearn all your tunes a tone higher. For example, I usually play Autumn Leaves in Gm, so it'll be in Am on the trumpet. No big deal.
