Back to Thistle Hall today, con il mio violino.

Peter has left snide remarks about me busking and making a nuisance of myself.

The lady running the venue yesterday had a different opinion.

No, I don't get any money - I'm just helping out a friend. In fact, it costs me $30 a day to park, before other expenses. I've actually enjoyed the performing practice. I'm presently extending my unaccompanied (no backing track) violin repertoire to 9 tunes. That's about 45 minutes of playing. My tunes are Besame Mucho, Nature Boy, The Accordion Lady, The Immigrants, The Orange Blossom Special, An Irish Medley, Manha De Carnaval, Sweet Georgia Brown and Oh Lady Be Good. Remember that this is when I have to play like a solo jazz guitarist - supplying chords and arpeggios with the tune and solos.

The Irish Medley sort of came to me the other day because my daughter is presently in Ireland. Plus, I have a very good Irish friend who likes to hear some tunes from the old country. I'm using The Irish Washer Woman, Garryowen and Danny Boy.

I don't understand Peter's latest post. It's just a picture and a quote, "I didn't get where I am today by using acronyms. Begone social media trolls!"

It has a title that says, "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"

An acronym is an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word (e.g. NASA).

I wouldn't have thought that, with a readership of two (when Robert is around and he often is not) he'd be very concerned about any type of reader.

Ah well, I guess that's the way they do things up in The Rei.

That's it from me for today - I have violin practice to do. Got to do those Atomic Habits.

Don't waste your time reading The Bible, get your practice done.

Ciao tutti.

Music is the art which is most nigh to tears and memories.

Music is everything and nothing. It is useless and no limit can be set on its use. Music takes me to places of illimitable sensual and insensate joy, accessing points of ecstasy that no angelic lover could ever locate, or plunging me into gibbering weeping hells of pain that no torturer could devise. Music makes me write this sort of maundering adolescent nonsense without embarrassment. Music is in fact the dog's bollocks. Nothing else comes close.

So, am I to believe that I have two new readers?

I'm home and having a wine. I've done quite a bit of playing (violin) today and will do even more tomorrow. Then Sunday is clean up day (no violin required).

I bought a toolkit especially for this week. Hey, pictures need to come down and the walls need a bit of putty. I've had some really nice compliments about my playing, as has our young artist about his work. A week well spent!

You learn quite a bit when you play live (solo). You learn about preparation and mind set. I wonder if Oscar or Stephen have ever experienced that musically? I think that quite a lot of people don't really know that experience. Hey, but you can't tell them. Ah, WRGAF?

You have a good heart.

I think that Oscar and Stephen, even though not being musicians showed a good understanding of what musicians feel when sharing.

Zachary told me he thought you were brilliant and much appreciated your help hanging pictures.

At least I presume it was Zachary, a rather short young chap wearing an aunty arty type hat!

Didn’t Salieri once compliment Mozart for his carpentry skills?
