Lydian Mode Day.

Today celebrates the mode that contains a tritone (Others do too, but not right at the start.). In the very old days the tritone was known as the Devil's Interval. I'm talking about F to B, when the key is C major and the Lydian mode begins on F. It is also built around a major 7th chord. What a mode! The tritone is a popular sound in Jazz.

The old boys? What are they up to this morning?

I see that Peter has gotten rid of his picture of the US embassy. Maybe he thinks that Trump might invade Thorndon?
Robert, at the start of his latest post, says, "I wonder if RBB has lost his faith in the NZ Education system.." I don't know why he used two full stops instead of a question mark. He then mentions some woman who is up before the Teachers' Disciplinary Tribunal. I think he's trying to point out that Catholic clergy aren't the only paedophiles around.

It is cold and wet in the Nui this morning. I guess that means there is more time for violin practice. I'd like to put in a good effort today to really kick my practice along.

I've decided to have some breakfast this morning, with coffee. That will probably add another activity to my morning.

Ah well, at least I'm at home today and that special room is free most of the time.

That's about it from me.

Stay warm.

I will stay warm. In fact I’ve gone back to bed and am snuggled up.
I canceled my planned drive to Paraparaumu and Waikanae today as the weather is too wild to drive there. I’ll do it another day.
Lynn is working from home today as she was too wussy to walk to work and, as I said, I’m snuggled up in bed so can’t drive her. She’s hogging the study today so no posts from me you’ll be disappointed to hear.

Why not write one of your extremely short posts? You could do it while she's making you a cup of tea. Just give her a ring.
