It's cold in Nuova Lazio this morning.
Very cold.
The other day I asked my daughter how old I look.
She replied, "Seventy."
Yesterday, late afternoon, I played a concert to one person. A chap with Downes Syndrome. Believe me, he was the best audience! I played tunes from my memorized jazz repertoire. I played non-stop for about an hour. He paid me with a handshake and a cuddle. A great gig!
When I had finished, I had a bite to eat with his mum and her boyfriend. The boyfriend put on a Neil Diamond record and played it really loud. Sometimes people do this to show that their music choice is better than yours. One of my brothers, let's call him Brent*, used to play Neil Diamond all the time, so I knew all the songs. I like Neil Diamond, but I think the young Downes chap enjoyed my music better. He listens to a lot of music, and I know he knows a lot more about music than the boyfriend. There you go.
Well, I'm off to do a few jobs and then I'll do some bass practice. I won't be bowing with my toe, like the bloke did on Robert's post.
I'll also be using more of the bow and a little more of the finger board.
Ciao tutti.
* though his real name is Rod
