Boxing Day sails

 

I can never understand why Boxing Day always has to be about bloody yachts and sailing ships

It's very wet in the Nui and I would have thought, if you had to do something today, you'd be better off going shopping.

Ah well. I certainly won't be out on the water. 

Actually, I think it all relates back to Jesus. 

He seems to have had a thing about water.

In reality, to walk on water, you'd have to be very light or have very wide feet that could function like a couple of boats.

Peter probably learnt about all this in 3P, while I was learning to sew in 3G. In 3P they spent most of their time learning how to be priests and talking in Latin. 

I didn't do any practice yesterday. I think that, instead of going out to watch the boats, I'd be better off doing some violin and double bass practice today. Obviously, I'll kick off with some long notes. 

This note is called a breve and
it is twice as long as a semibreve.

You don't see breves in modern Western music. I don't think that students were introduced to them in 3P. Peter could verify that, either way.

Well, that's it from me on this box sing day. There actually are a few boxes singing at our place as I write. That makes the day feel quite special.
