Home for a night.

Wow, that was a long week!

I spent most of it in Palmy and I have to say that the city has really come ahead.

One night at home, hence the post, and we return tomorrow.

I'll try to do a few 'comment posts' from this post (in the comments section below).

Fitting in music practice has been difficult but I try to use time sitting in the hospital to think about solutions to Caprice no. 24. I think it's fair to say that I have the first four variations pretty well mapped out and I'm working on the next one. I've also been checking out the upcoming ones.

It's a great experience when you solve problems that you first thought were impossible to solve.

Sii gentile.

Buonanotte.

Mm, interesting.
It's sort of like solving mathematical problems or cryptic crosswords I guess.
If ever they catch you and incarcerate you in a dungeon you'll have something to get you through.

Good thinking.

COMMENT POST.
Palmerston North, aka Palmy. In 15 minutes it is my turn to go up to the ward. Only one visitor is allowed at a time. We're back in Palmy for another week, or until something happens. Living in a motel is not a cheap thing to do. It is interesting watching people coming and going. Almost my turn to chat to the patient. I wonder if Robert will sing a song on his blog this evening? I wonder if TC's furniture post will appear soon? These things seem more exciting when you're sitting in a hospital. Time to go upstairs. Ciao titti.

Richard (of RBB) ha detto...

Titti should be tutti.

THE CURMUDGEON ha detto...

Titti sounds like more fun (although Robert would disapprove unless they were titties sanctified by the holy sacrament of marriage - and heterosexual marriage at the regardless of what the pope says).
I feel sorry for you - in the interests of parallel universing Lynn and I stayed in a motel close to the hospital when my mother was in intensive care for awhile. It wears you down.

But, cheer up! I haven't posted for a couple of days because I've been unwell but, if I get my urgent medication in the morning I'll be posting on the new furniture, yes indeedy and, as a bonus, I'll post on the retaining wall that's finally been finished.

I'll do this to raise your spirits.

Richard (of RBB) ha detto...

Hope you're okay.

Don't rush the posts. I can read Robert's.

THE CURMUDGEON ha detto...

Well ok., but what will do with the other 50 seconds in that minute?

Richard (of RBB) ha detto...

Masturbate like a good Catholic?

Richard (of RBB) ha detto...

Unless, of course, if a good Catholic is a lesser thing than a mediocre Protestant or a great Satanist.

THE CURMUDGEON ha detto...

Good is lowest on the scale Good, better, best'

Richard (of RBB) ha detto...

But higher than not too bad.

THE CURMUDGEON ha detto...

Ok, I'll buy that.
How's this for the scale?

Christianity- not too bad
Catholicism - good
Agnosticism- better
Atheism - best

Richard (of RBB) ha detto...

Fair

THE CURMUDGEON ha detto...

I guess 'fair' has to sit below 'not too bad'.
We can give that to Islam.

THE CURMUDGEON ha detto...

OK?
OK is below fair ...... oh, I see what you're doing.

We cremated Uncle Steve today. It looks like we can go home to Richard's Bass Bag * tomorrow. Be great to get home.

THE CURMUDGEON ha detto...

Farewell uncle Steve.
If there is sentience after death then I hope he's aware of what you and Shelley have done for him.
Safe drive home.

Richard (of RBB) ha detto...

Thanks guys. Peter for the wonderful flowers and Robert for the very kind thoughts.
I'm a lucky man to know you two.*

* sorry for being so nice
