Peter, Peter, butter chicken pie eater,

Looked for a pie for the microwave heater.

But Lynn had eaten the whole damn lot,

For lunch fruit juice was what he got.

This is a sad tale of a guy (old) who had developed a passion for the pies that they sold in Kaiwaka. 

Kaiwaka

Locals recall how he made a bit of a nuisance of himself by turning up regularly at their Italian bakery. He never bought anything else but their butter chicken pies. On times that all the butter chicken pies had been sold he got quite upset.

"I love butter chicken pies!"

When I drive through Kaiwaka

My stomach starts to pucker.

I say to that Italian guy,

"Give me a butter chicken pie!"

He asks what else I may want,

I always say that I don't.

Then I start to cry, 

If he's sold the last butter chicken pie.
