I bought a new printer about a week ago - a Canon because I wanted a printer that would take the same ink thingies that I had already bought for the old printer.
Well, there you go. That video saved a bit of typing, and you now have the whole story.
A lot shorter than those trailer posts - probably really written by a man named Beau Ring.
Ciao tutti.

I’d do a series on that but I wouldn’t have bought a sill Canon ink jet printer.
I’d have bought a Brother laser printer where you don’t have to change the ink cartridge so often.
There you go.
But the Cannon has an overhead hexagonal self refurbishing ink minimalising spectrum cartridge.
Look, I got the bloody thing working. It's not a Stradivarius but it prints documents and pictures.

Un errore di battitura in italiano!
Correggre le bozze per favore!

I've come to realise that the printer cartridges are a scam. The printers are now quite cheap, because HP, Canon and Epson make their money on the cartridges. About $40 each, for maybe 200 pages.
I recently switched to an Epson (picked up on ebay for £140) which uses tanks of ink, refilled from easily bought bottles of ink. I bought 8 bottles of ink, suitable for colour printing up to 20,000 pages for £18.
And because it's quite cheap to print, I now print lots of colour stuff, that before i would have changed to black and white printing, because the colour cartridges are so expensive to use.
Sorry, I spelt Canon wrong in my comment.
No one picked it up.
You guys are quite boring about printers.
I won't mention them again.
BTW Richard, Canon is the correct spelling for the camera and printer company, so you were actually correct after all.
He misspelled Canon as Cannon in his comment on the post and is now kidding on that he did that deliberately.
Ah, thank you TC, I missed that.
