I had a good sleep last night and a good toilet visit just before. I know that Peter likes details.

I saw that Robert is taking shots at his fellow Catholics.

"Many Catholics seem to think adultery is alright. They are all the more guilty if they entice others into this sin too. Actually many people have an abysmal understanding of Church teachings on marriage. Some think that the Church recognizes civil divorce even. I wonder how culpable these people are."

I've got an old friend coming around this morning. I'm going to help him with his Jazz guitar chords. Then a plumber is coming around in the afternoon to look at our toilet.* I also need to get a flu jab. Looks like it will be a busy day. Hey, there is also practice to do - 5 minutes on the trumpet, 10 minutes on the double bass and then violin habits. I have been practising playing a Coltrane diminished lick over m7b5 to dom7b9. I think it sounds pretty good.  

Coltrane found a way to play a diminished lick that doesn't just sound like an arpeggio. Clever fellow.

My trumpet playing is centered around being more consistent at hitting the notes in the Last Post, so that I don't get fluffed notes. For the double bass I'm practising a Bach piece from the solo cello suites. It's good for keeping my bass playing up in a time of lots of violin practice.

Rick's blog is going well. Robert has popped in, but no sign of Peter there. Maybe he's worried that Rick might ask him what he does for a job?
