New shoes? You choose.

No.

Definitely not!

Absolutely no way!

Yes please!

My old friend (and he is older than me) Peter popped around today. As well as giving us (Shelley and I) a really wonderful set of place mats, he also gave me a pair of rather expensive shoes that didn't fit him properly. What a very kind thing to do! Thanks so much, Peter. I wore them today and they are very comfortable. You and Lynn are very kind! Huge thanks!

I got an hour's practice done on the violin today, but it was quite a busy day. My baby (the younger of our two children) turned 40 today. He now has two babies of his own - Harrison 3 years and 4 months and Henry 1 year and 3 1/2 months. Grandkids are a lot of fun, though they do tire you out at times. Well worth it though.

Well, I'll leave it there for tonight. Huge thanks to Peter and Lynn for their generosity.

Ciao tutti.

The other two bloggers must have slept in, or something. No posts or comments, so I guess I'll have to quote Robert's last words.
"Poof I Practise."
Yes, I'm off to do some practice.

Richard (of RBB) ha detto...

"Sic meruit."
There you are, I quoted Peter too.

That was very diligent of you or dearly vigilant - I'm not sure which.

To be honest, I didn't understand that comment from Peter. Comments by both of the bloggers we see around here made me think of a comment I have heard spoken by Indians in American cowboy movies.
"White man speaks with fork tongue."
Sometimes it's good to speak clearly about what your intentions are.
I can only assume that Robert has buggered off again.
I assume that Peter's above comment is just him trying to live up to his 3P reputation.
Ah well, what can I really say?
So long.

No replies.
What a big surprise!

NOT!

Rob ha detto...

If he had said "these are my best most comfortable shoes but I want to give them to you RBB to enjoy more than me" I would have been impressed.

Richard (of RBB) ha detto...

Wayne Kerr.
Would you like my violin, Rob?
Well, you're not getting it.

THE CURMUDGEON ha detto...

Oops!

Richard (of RBB) ha detto...

A quote from Murray Roberts days.
"Mine's twelve inches long but I don't use it as a rule."

THE CURMUDGEON ha detto...

Wan't there a bit of graffiti written on a wall saying "Robert is a brikehead"?

Richard (of RBB) ha detto...

No, that was another guy, but I can't remember his name.

Richard (of RBB) ha detto...

I think it was. "Steve is a brikehead."

THE CURMUDGEON ha detto...

Oh!
Not Robert then.
