Monday and Tuesday are always quiet days in the church shop.

Okay, someone would be filling up the vending machine, after a busy weekend, but, apart from a few lost souls sitting in the church, things would be pretty quiet.

For that ever happy soul Father Patrick it could be a chance to get in a bit of extra praying but, no, he was cooking up bacon and eggs in the presbytery kitchen. This really put old Mrs. Harvey's nose out of joint because it was her kitchen, her special sanctuary. When her chores were done, she liked to sit quietly in there with a cuppa and a biscuit. The last thing she needed was this hyper priest dancing around and leaving a big mess.

"Shouldn't you be saying the rosary or tidying the alter?" she asked sarcastically.
"No! It's Tuesday! I is cookin' up a breakfast feed Mrs. Harvey." he joyously replied.
"But aren't you expecting a visit from the primary school?"
"No. They always come on a Wednesday."
He continued to bang around.
"Where's the bacon kept?"
"Ah, if there is any, it will be in the fridge. Where do you think I'd put it?"

Robert was driving around the Eastbourne bays. It was raining and he was listing to Brent Horn on a podcast. Brent was the brother of the famous Trent. Unlike his brother, he had not found Catholicism but was still a Presbyterian. Robert chuckled as he drove and found Brent's Presbyterian ideas amusing. It felt good for his Catholic soul. He imagined Marie laughing in Heaven.

Peter was out of bed and sat drinking a coffee. The weather wasn't bad but, as sometimes happened, his mind went back to the great Whangarei storm and the damage it had caused.

This was something he still struggled to get past. He let his mind drift over to blogging. He needed a topic for today. He decided to take a look at Richard's Bass Bag*. That often gave him good ideas. How he wished he had the talent to write posts like he read over there! He wondered why those skills weren't encouraged in 3P.

Richard (of RBB) sat at his computer. He wasn't needed at Nuova Lazio High School today. That meant that housework and practice would get done.  He also had a pumpkin to cut up. It would be a busy day.

My new bass amp.

Fender Rumble 40w.

The all seeing eye.

On Charlie's Birthday.

 Sunday Recap.

Grandad and Harrison.

Harrison very happy
with Grandma.

Grandad at the Jazz jam.

King's Birthday.

Well, I'm up. It's raining so I'll spend some time with my double bass. I haven't been with La Gloria for three days because I was preparing for the jazz jam.

I haven't been talking to Marie either.

Well, she has been dead
a long time.

Nor Father Patrick.

Though, he's a character.

I was in Aro Street sharing una bottiglia di vino, molto costoso, and it really pissed down like I can't remember seeing before. Shelley and I had to head through it to get to the jazz jam, which was in the Aro Street Community Hall. Fortunately Shelley had brought an umbrella and she had her big raincoat.

Robert finally posted a photo of his church shop.

I can't see the vending machine.

Maybe it's just out of shot.

What's the thing with the dogs?

Do they get into Heaven for free?
Or is someone just trying to make Catholics look caring?

Remember that this god 'who cares about every little one of us' made Hell - a place of eternal suffering.

Well, that's me for today.

Ciao tutti.

domenica 4 giugno 2023

Two 'jobs' today.

 1)

Off to see this guy.

He is two months old now so you could say that he's all grown up. All going to plan, we'll have a bit of a cuddle.

2)

Off to a jazz jam in Wellington. I don't know who will be running it or who will turn up. I'll take my violin and my little battery amp.

Ciao tutti.

Lawn Progress Post.

 Back lawn done.

Still a long way to go on the front lawn.

I wonder if there's a series in this?

Long post/short post.

Just a short post today.
