God only knows!

"I heard RBB found a fly inside and instead of dispatching it carefully freed it outside. Good on him. Though isn't it a bit like finding a snail in your vege garden and tossing it over the fence to your neighbour's section? So it goes."

Yes, I read Rob's post this morning. I noticed that he's still cleaning a church for that one Protestant.

"I'm off to clean the Protestant's gathering place."

Doesn't sound like much of a gathering if it's just him on his own. The placing of the possessive apostrophe gives it away.

It appears that the Devil may be responsible for us having flies.

"Leave my flies alone!"

It has to be the work of the Devil, otherwise Rob wouldn't be respecting God's creatures.

I did look online and found that flies do quite a few good things:
  • Flies pollinate some crops.
  • Flies, especially house flies and blowflies, play a crucial role in breaking down organic matter.
  • Flies serve as a significant food source for various animals.
  • Some fly species help control pest populations by preying on harmful insects.
Maybe they ARE God's creatures after all, and Rob is feeding them to fly eating plants, after getting a kick from shooting them.
I think that someone is sinning and needs to go to confession.

Peter spent the night in, or near Toe Wronger. Oops, sorry, too much of reading Rob's blog, I meant Tauranga. Poor old fella sounds tired. Hey, that is one long drive! I hope he's feeling okay this morning. At least he's nearly there. Nearly home.

I only practised for two hours yesterday, but it was very good practice. I'm back to playing Romance and the OBS at tomorrow's concert. Obviously, I'll be striving to put in some very good practice today too. "Softly, softly catchy monkey." as my dad used to say. I would say, "Chi va piano va sano e va lontano."

Well, that's just about it for today.

Watch out for Catholics trying to poison your cat or shoot your dog. I'm sure that'll be their next step when the flies run out. Hey, they're already locking up fish in little tanks.

Let's hope that Peter gets to Wellington safely.

Ciao tutti.

Are you absolutely positive that slow and steady wins the race?

....though it might get you from Tauranga to Wellington in one piece; apart from abuse from a few disgruntled ute drivers.
