Is Peter correct when he accuses this blog of coming from the right?

Actually, I don't know what the silly old guy is going on about.
In my last post I said, "Prepare to move forward, in a VERY POSITIVE WAY!"
I think this statement is what got the old fellow excited. I was actually talking about personal ambitions, in my case music. At the present time I have done 311 hours of practice this year. This amount will be increased today. Remember that I showed you this video.
This is me practising very quick picking on the guitar. Believe me, it has nothing to do with politics. You won't hear a lot of guitarists play this quickly because it is something that requires concentrated practice. Quite a lot of concentrated practice.
Okay, I don't get many music gigs these days, but does that really matter? I have been practising some very interesting things on the violin and double bass as well. I have a whole way of approaching scales that I use for improvising on the violin. I show these to my students but I don't think they really see the value in what I am showing them. Hopefully the penny will drop one day.
Ah well, you can only share and hope.

| This is Peter. He also goes by the name The Curmudgeon. |
Evidently his lady is not keen on him wearing hats. I wonder why?
Peter has decided that I have turned right wing in my political thinking. Maybe a guy who chooses to wear a raccoon hat processes things differently from the rest of us? Anyway, I can assure you that I will be voting Labour at the next election, which is early next month. Hopefully that statement will shut racoon boy old man up.
Well, I'd better get back to my practice.
Ciao for now.

Yes, we will be voting Labour as well even if they do have a silly slogan - "Better starts now",
I like that old one from the 1969 election "Make Things Happen":

I thought The Curmudgeon would vote for Wiston Peters. "New Zealanders First,"
Phillip Edward Nis
I think he just names Labour but really votes for Bishop Brian Tamaki.
Bin Hire
The bastard!
Angry Jesus
Well, he is supposed to be working on his guitar playing to impress The Old Girl when they go up north in January.
Wiston?
Are you going to any films at the Italian Film Festival starting this month?
I just booked for Once Upon a Time In The West at the Roxy on Friday at 12.30.
Well done!
I'm just home from a 25 minute walk.
Good on you.
In the interests of parallel universing I too took my legs out for a walk today.
They are a bit 'peel-wally' having not seen sunshine for 6 months but now that it's shorts and T-shirt weather that will soon be fixed.
I am a bit out of condition though and while the foot was OK I was out of breath after a fire kilometres and got the bus home.
I'm on that Allopurinol medication which has lots of side effects which hopefully will diminish.
Oh well, bacon and egg pie tonight with a glass of Central Otago pinot noir.
It's a relief to know what you're having for dinner.
Two hours of guitar practice today.
Hey, what's happened to that violin?
Bin Hire
Are two violins called violence?
Phillip Edward Nis
Very funny, Mr. P.E.Nis.
Don't worry, the violin will be looked after.
Say hello to Bin for me.
Robert and I love him.
It's coming up 8.30pm. I have work tomorrow. I'll find some time to put in some serious violin practice. Scales? Yes, and long bows. As well as my four 'standard' scales I'm also working on the two diminished forms (for dominant 7th and diminished chords). I'm also working on scales that contain the #4. Also I'm continuing working on playing over m7b5 and 7b9 chords. That's enough to keep me busy. I also need to play over the 30 tunes in my repertoire. I'm also delighted that I got to find out what Peter was having for dinner this evening.
You'd be more delighted if you bought some RUA Central Otago pinot noir 2024 (on special now $2199 at New Word). This is the best value pinot noir I've ever had. I'm off to buy some more tomorrow.

Ohhh goddd! I hope that Robert comes back soon.
What does L'll mean?
Robert? I'd get used to reading about scales, if I were you.
Peter arrives at Great Barrier Island.
"Hey Lynn, listen to this! I'm playing a diminished scale, starting on a half step, over C7. Do you like those b9 and #9 sounds?"
I don’t like it when you speak gibberish Matey.
Lynn
"But I've been practising! Richard showed me a few things."
I’d be careful of what things he’d show you Matey.
I’ve heard the stories.
Lynn
"Look, he was only five years old when he stood under the steps and looked up that big girl's skirt. That was even before he started playing the violin! Hey, the poor guy had no sisters. He was just trying to learn."
