"Doozy' promises from one, nothing from the other.

Okay, I had a look around the blogs this morning.

Not a single parable to be seen.


Peter's blog (the ex-birthday boy).

A joke and a 'doozy' promise.

Well, we'll all be waiting for Sunday.
What did he do in Dunedin?
  • Find a heap of golf balls down near some river?
  • Have an argument with TWO pregnant waitresses?
  • Go to the local tennis club and pick a fight?
  • Come across a genie who turned him back into being 71?
  • Does he still have two wishes?
  • Find a bottle store that specializes in Cleanskins?
  • Find a shop that sells fancy woollen undies? 
I guess we'll have to wait until Sunday.

As for Robert, who knows?

Project Violin 100.

Only 94 hours to go!

Yes, I know, I'm taking it slowly, but it is a VERY hard task. One that most people would probably give up on. It's a task that can't be rushed. Every part of it presents different challenges. 


"Softly, softly catchy monkey." as my dad used to say.

I'll be reducing those 94 hours today, hopefully. Not by much though.

72 today, 72 today,

He'll get a mat for his door,

He's never been 72 before.

Richard (of RBB) says he can do what he likes,

Oh, and Robert tells us that he will be 69 years and 9 months later this month (August 21st.)

So, who is our oldest blogger?

 Robert?


No. While he is a great supporter of gay rights, AND a woman's right to choose, when it comes to her own body, Robert is only 68 years old. Though, he will turn 69 later this month.

Richard (of RBB) is quite young too. Some readers put his age at around 27.

No. If you're looking for an old blogger, well, that's Peter (aka The Curmudgeon).


Peter turns 72 tomorrow.

YES, TOMORROW!

WHAT?

But he doesn't look a day over 71 years and 364 days!
That'll change tomorrow.

The Curmudgeon Ink is closed and Peter has buggered off to Christchurch.

 That's not how you run a successful blog.





And what about that back fence that needs fixing?





How irresponsible to leave a fence like that.

I mean, what if his neighbour is keeping rhinos?


It won't be long before they'll be out on the road and attacking cars!

Robert hasn't bothered to post this morning. Ah well, that's one sermon that we won't get. I mean, it could have been the one that led me back to Catholicism.


Ah well, I guess it's Hell for me now, and all because Robert couldn't be bothered writing a post.

The effects of BJ on Sunday and the Roman Catholic church.

Hi, blurble, blurble, I'm Frank and I'm the most recent addition to The Holy Bible, thanks to BJ. Blurble, blurble. Here are a few changes you can expect around Sunday at the one true church.

1) All priests saying Mass must be dressed as fish. That includes Father Orange. We're finished with fruit.

2) Men working in the church shop


will also be expected to dress as fish. The days when a suit alone was good enough is over.

Any women working, blurble, blurble, in the church shop will be required to dress as mermaids.

Yes, blurble, blurble, I know. It's a shame that most of the women who work in the church shop are getting on in years.

3) We're doing away with vigil Mass, blurble, blurble. Come on the correct day or get a Mortal Sin.

4) The choir and the accompanying musicians will also be required to dress as fish or mermaids.

"Where are the song sheets?"

"Shhh, I'm trying to tune my violin."

We thank BJ for these changes. Fish have always played their part in The Bible. Blurble, blurble. Now we are finally being recognized. Remember that it was Jesus who said, "I'll make you fishes from men." Or something like that. Blurble, blurble.

Okay, the last post I did introduced the BJ format, and I gave you some examples of BJ as guidance.

As expected, I got some silly comments from Peter and Robert, but that is to be expected.

The good news, for me and probably a lot of Catholics, is that Frank the talking fish has been added to The Bible. This is only made possible through BJ. Thank you, BJ.

I know that a lot of you will be looking out for another mention of something I mentioned about two or three posts back - Project Violin 100.


Well, I'm happy to tell you that, with three hours done, it is underway. Only 97 hours to go. Okay, you have to understand that this is only part of my music practice - I also have a double bass project and jazz violin practice to do. I estimate that Project Violin 100 could take about five or six months to complete, if not longer. It's something you can't rush, but I will say that it seems to be coming along nicely. 

Well, that's it for this morning. I'll pop over to Robert's blog to see if Pope Francis has sent a message of support to the “Outreach” conference for homosexual Catholics. I hope the Pope assured Father Martin that he would be “united in prayer” with the conference participants. Rob will probably tell us that there is a difference between accepting and treating others with dignity (as the Pope indicates above) and bigotry (anti Catholicism). Ha, ha, when I was young, and a Catholic, we were often treated with fear. Remember guys like Brother Benedict? They were real. On another topic, I wonder if Pope Francis is gay?

I wonder if Peter has got that fence fixed yet? Maybe he's too busy under the house?


I hope he's not identifying as a mole. Well, he does seem to spend a lot of time down there. Maybe a trip to Christchurch to see The Old Girl will do him good. As long as he doesn't spend time trying to crawl through old drainpipes down there.

There's a new, updated version of AI that has just come out...

 It's called BJ.

BJ has some very interesting improvements on its predecessor.
Let's have a look at some of them.
  • If you use BJ to write out silly religious stuff, it makes you need to go to the toilet.
  • BJ can write backwards. .elpmaxe na si ereH
  • You can use BJ if you need to build a fence between your neighbour's property and yours.
  • BJ makes YOU look smart by throwing in words like 'Sheesh!' and 'Mea Culpa' (nothing to do with your morning cup of tea).
  • There is a BJ version of The Bible with added characters, like Frank the talking fish, and The Last Supper is done quite differently - more like that version that France did recently.
