Happy Palm Sunday?

"Catholic commentators Richard and Peter have probably forgotten what today is. Though both are baptized Catholics their minds are slowly going the way of old folk's."

That's how Robert starts his latest post. Well, when I think of palms, I think of Brother Benedict and Brother Leon.

I also hear these guys singing.

You see, when I was at Marist Thorndon, both of those Brothers used to come around and put their hand (and palm) up boys' pants, mine included. I was 11 and 12 at the time. These two men (and there are many more in the clergy that I can name) were very sadistic. Rob, if I still had my baptism certificate, I would give it to you and you could use it next time you wipe your arse.

Okay, moving right along.

I'm going to an old-time music and bluegrass jam later this afternoon with my violin.

The Obligato strings are sounding
good, as is the Tonica E string.

Old-time music seems to involve playing the tune over and over again. There's a guy, who brings a banjo and a violin who likes to give advice. The trouble is that he doesn't know what he is talking about. Last time he called a Gsus4 chord a mode. He called an Em minor pentatonic scale something funny too. I corrected him. Actually, I'm going for the bluegrass part because I have been practising (yes Rob, using Atomic Habits) that style of music. Bluegrass is quite fun to play.
I also have a short jazz gig coming up at the Tawa Library on the morning of May the 3rd. There will only be time for about six tunes. I'm playing with my favourite pianist, Daryl. We're related. I also practise jazz tunes and techniques with Atomic Habits.

I wonder if Peter is in THE OFFICE today?

I wonder if he knows it's Palm Sunday? Robert said that our minds are slowly going the way of old folk's. Ah, but Robert believes all that Catholic shit.

Robert getting excited
about Palm Sunday.

I'm sorry that happened to you.
Maybe, when I get to Wellington, we can find and piss on their graves.

An opportunity for you to tower over the opposition?
