I've woken up to a very bad frost. It's freezing. Colder than anything they've ever had up near the Whangarei Heads - yes, I know all about that storm that blew an outside chair over.
Oops, sorry, wrong picture. |
That's better. |
Tomorrow we're going up to Himatangi to tidy up some of the pottery for a memorial service. We'll spend a night in Foxton so that we have two days to clean up the showroom and the workshop. There is no toilet at the pottery but the trip to Foxton is doable if anyone is desperate.*
Remember that book of bass melodies?
I thought I might get my bass practice kicked along today and see if I could possibly manage a performance some time in August - that's when The Old Curmudgeon turns seventy. Old alright!
Today I'll also be packing for the Himatangi trip. We plan to take the Batmobile** because the lay of the land is a little rough at the pottery. The Batmobile doesn't mind a bump or two.
Well, I'll leave you there for now.
Ciao tutti.

Have a good trip.
Isn't your car known as the buttmobile?
Thanks.
No.
Battymobile?
Is it raining up there?
Yes, how did you know.
I put the washing out this morning and made it rain.
Don't forget our old friend Mr. Question Mark.
Shouldn't that be Mr. Mark Question?
Early night for you guys and no wine I assume given that you have to be up early tomorrow to beat that holiday traffic going north.
Oh, by the way in case you were wondering: No. I don't remember that book of bass melodies.
I wonder if Robert will start his blog up this weekend now that you will be safely out of the valley(s).
Drive safe.
You guys are both a bit scary. La mamma degli imbecilli è sempre incinta.
