I really have nothing to report this morning, but when has that stopped me writing a post?
Rob is in Napier. I hope he's having a good time.
Peter is in Whangarei, I hope he's having a good time.
I'm in the Nui* and just finishing my coffee.
My coffee is finished now.
I'm trying to build up my double bass practice at the moment. I was a bit lazy yesterday and only did 30 minutes on the violin (as well as some double bass practice). Never mind, I can catch up today.
The rain has stopped and I'm 'downstairs' at the computer (obviously) with my silly little heater going. I'm wearing a jacket. I'm still half in my pyjamas, but half sort of dressed. I really have no plans for today, except a trip to the supermarket and practice. One of our trees has been blown over, so I need to hire someone to take out that tree and three others. It's worth getting professionals in because they'll take the cut down trees away. I'll get onto that sooner rather than later.
Shelley and I are going to see our grandsons tomorrow. That will be nice. Aunty will be there too and, of course, mum and dad.
Peter seemed to imply, in his last post, that we need more humour on the blogs.
Okay then, here are some great jokes to liven you all up.
Have you heard about those new corduroy pillows? They're making headlines.* Wainuiomata, where the girls are smarter.

Yes but are you having a good time?
I wonder if we'll be hearing about that tree blowing over ad finitum?
In case you were wondering I've been up super early tidying the house, line-trimming weeds and garden edges and generally making things look good because the real estate agent is bringing someone to view the house at lunch-time.
I'm not going to Napier.
If you like I can provide links to blog posts I wrote about a visit to Napier a few yeras ago. No problem.
For some reason my computer keyboard always writes 'yeras' when I type 'years' (it did it again and I had to carefully overtype it). What's that about?
It's probably a Whangarei expression.
I wonder if Wainuiomata was once called Witwainuiomata?
Oh well, things change.
Looks like a quiet day in the Rei and no one is doing work on jokes up there.
