Tennis was cancelled
And Peter sent home,
He did a quick blog post and
Went for a roam,
To somewhere up north
From elsewhere up north,
That was just a starter,
It's snowing in Wainuiomata.
You've got the heat pump on, right?
The rain's turning white.
All our hands turning cold,
It doesn't help that we're old.
Up north, where they dress in less
Old Pete's a bit restless.
He feels just like a martyr but
It's snowing in Wainuiomata.
Okay, okay, it's not really snowing in Wainuiomata, just heavy rain and hail and very cold.
Sorry to waste your time.

I bet there will be snow at the top of the Sunny Gove track behind you tomorrow, I used to walk the dogs up there after a dusting. It's well worth the climb! Nice photo.
Well, wasting time would be a better rhyme
But what does it matter - he’s from Wainuiomata.
Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater, had a partner but couldn't keep her. He put her in a pumpkin shell and there he kept her very well. Poor Lynn. Especially in this weather.
That pumpkin shell sounds cosy.
Particularly when it’s full of pumpkin soup.
Richard, Richard, annoying poet. He couldn’t rhyme but didn’t know it.
He wrote verse anyway, sod it,
I think he learned his ‘skill’ from Robert.
Pumpkin soup? That's just like when you shit yourself.
I wonder if Richard leaves this post up long enough it will indeed be snowing.
