Peter was thinking as he drove around the bays towards the club. He was thinking of all the bad drivers, and dangerous drivers, around Whangarei.
Then he realized that he was driving on the wrong side of the road. |
"Why does that guy keep praying to me?" |
Peter thought that Robert might be better off praying to Saint Pius X.
Peter wondered what the 'X' stood for. |
Was it a short way to show that he had or knew 'xtra' stuff?
Anyway, it was now time to think about golf.
"If I hurry, there'll be time to climb down and find a few 'xtra' balls." For some reason, his mind briefly turned back to St. Pius. He made himself think of golf, because today he had a special challenge.
He called it Project Golf 27. His aim was to go around nine holes in just 27 strokes of the ball.
When he told some of his golf buddies they thought he was dreaming, but Peter's mind was made up. Every shot would have to be perfect. He'd practised for a while with his project in mind.
One thing was for sure - it would be very hard to accomplish. Only three shots for every hole. Sheesh!
This day it was not to be. The first hole took him 5 shots. That left 22 shots for the other eight holes. He decided that today would be a practice day. That was a good call because it took him 48 shots to complete the nine holes. Peter decided to look for some more balls. That always made him feel better.

Having fun?
Well, someone has got to keep the blogs turning over.
I think you need more saints in your posts.
Join Facebook and you can read Robert's posts about St. Pius X and the rest. He stole a nom de plume off me and now calls himself Roberto Testore. He doesn't speak Italian but maybe he should have used Maria Goretti's name. Maybe he should have been a little original, like Original Sin.
RBB
He should go to the USA to get some ideas from his hero Donald Trump.
Hey! He could go to Sacramento to receive some - you know, sacraments.
Maybe he follows an alternate Ten Commandments where 'Thou shalt not steal' doesn't feature.
Roberto removed the link on his ex-blog to his Facebook page, so I removed his link from my LINKS service.

You say that like it's a bad thing.
I just watched Kamala Harris’s acceptance speech at the DNC. Great and, of course, the theme of mothers and women featured. She has been kept in the background for the last 3 years and whether that was down to Biden or a very clever long-range plan I don’t know but it was a damned god speech and one that leaves the orange idiot for dead. It makes me proud to be an …. oops! Getting carried away there. Worth a watch.
I left the link on my blog because “hee’ll bee bach “.
"...but it was a damned god speech..."
See, proofreading is important!
Come back Robert!
He'll come back. He just needs to play out in the big wide world of Facebook for a while. When the Facebook trolls give him a good mauling he'll turn tail and start up a new blog. With luck, he'll have read up on how to create one with the proper settings.
Oves, semper domum revertentes sine auxilio, nec pastori nec canis egebant”
Why are the quotation marks only at the end?
I refer you to my latest post.
I'm bach. Peter is right. Facebook is cruel. I got suspended from an NDE group for just saying 'rubbish'.
I hope you spelt it correctly.
Actually, grammar is shocking on Facebook.
That depends if he was pissed or not. If he's started drinking again he might have signed off as Robbish Prowsh and they misread him.
Best not to go there eh.
Anyway, I hear that your Facebook name has been stolen.
"Was fantasizing about female saints like Maria Goretti a sin?"
She was only 12 when stabbed by a pornographic addict! Pornography Is really, really bad.
Stolen? He's Riccardo. I'm Roberto!
E il cognome? Per mi era speciale.
Yeah. I forgot that you're a Catholic and appropriation is de-rigueur for you guys. Every religious festival, event - even personages in your religion are 'borrowed' from cultures and religions that went before. Enjoy your 'Testore' status.
You do know that the Testore family of violin makers in Italy had a poor reputation as their instruments were known for being made quickly and using average materials ... oh! That's why you chose it. Carry on.
All good. In my comment to Robert above my 'research' took me to historical Testore references which suited my purpose. Further 'investigation' showed that Testore is now a respected name in musical instrument making:
"Testore moved to Milan, where he opened his own workshop and continued to create violins, cellos and double basses of an exceptional quality."
(Don't tell Robert).
RBB said he was a double bass maker and Giovanni Bottesini used one!
I didn’t know that Richard was a double bass maker.
Trouble is a given.
