"Would they make me a bishop?" Richard wondered as he walked towards the church of St. Peter of the Hosts. He knew that it had worked for his old friend, a guy who had been selected for 3P in 1966.
"Maybe they'll send me to Rome and make me a cardinal!" Then Richard remembered the cardinal sins and wasn't sure if that was a good idea.
Outside St. Peter's (Hutt version, not Rome) there was a giant communion host where you normally see a cross. Just below it was a giant rooster - this was getting confusing!
Richard knew that, unlike Hank, he only had one chance to get a 'spot'. Richard wondered if the Catholics had somehow mistaken him for Richard Dawkins. Well, they seemed to agree with things that Dawkins said.
Even Richard had to admit that God was certainly a smart guy. "Logical and makes sense, like most Catholic things do." he thought.
Then, just before he entered the church, with the intention to attend mass and pray the rosary thing, he remembered something he had seen on Robert's post.

It was below a picture of Peter the host thief and replaced links to Richard's and Peter's blogs. There were three statements - he had inadvertently memorized all three. He wondered if the bottom two statements were sort of like replies to the top one. "So," he reasoned, "if I truly believed that I could beat superman in a fight, there would be light everywhere? Do scientists and medical people work in a forced darkness?"
Richard thought, "Fuck this nonsense!"
He headed straight home, though he did stop at a supermarket to by some quality Cleanskins.
Richard had been tricked. He knew now that the Catholic church and its people were full of bullshit.
He would stay well away from them in future.

That was a pretty silly comment Robert.
It's like me saying that I know how a director makes a film because I watch them or that I know how to make really good chardonnays because I drink them, or, something else.
It was a good post though although I think that the wine choice could be better.
Church Road Reserve 2020 just won yet another trophy. I'm hoping that it turns up on special at the same time as a Countdown 20% off sale soon and, if it does, you should buy some as well.
I'm just disappointed that everyone seemed to miss the big cock joke.
I saw it and ignored it.
But it was the best part of the post. The most honest, anyway.
You will notice that amongst all of The Curmudgeons there isn't a The Vulgar Curmudgeon.
