What?
"The phone is working well. I just have to be careful not to drop it in the bath!"
Well, yes, that's true. For most people dropping a phone in the bath is not going to happen, but this IS TC, The Curmudgeon, who likes to face life with a splash.

"Oops, I dropped my phone again." |
If you want to know absolutely everything about Peter (aka TC) buying a phone, have a long read HERE.
Now let's get on with life.
I rang Robert yesterday and he is fine. The blogs weren't mentioned. Shelley has the flu but I tested negative. Maybe I didn't make a good job of the test, but I'm going with that result. Unfortunately, Andad can't risk seeing his andsons for a while, but dad has promised a video link. Hey, just for the record, 'Andad' is not a spelling mistake. That's what my elder andson calls me.
Yeah, yeah, I know you're all waiting to hear about my practice. Hey, don't worry, I didn't drop my violin in the bath. I've been maintaining an hour a day through some busy days. Unfortunately, I haven't touched my bass for a few days. I'd better get onto that soon. At least, I haven't dropped it in the bath. I'm doing four habits now - warm up, double stops, 3 / 7 chords and arpeggios. I also noticed that I had been neglecting repertoire practice, or reinforcement, so I'm back onto that too. If I ever get a solo violin gig, I'll need a strong repertoire. Don't worry, I'll keep my music stand and charts away from the bath.

Peter's nemesis. |
The sun is just starting to rise in the Nui. I'll have to go out into the cold and deliver my elderly neighbour's paper to her doorstep soon. Shelley started this ritual quite a few years ago. It's scarf weather at the moment.
Peter might do another post today - remember that he has got 'the office' all to himself. I'm just hoping that he will keep things like the coffee machine, the toaster, the computer and his electric razor away from the bath. I hope that he doesn't have to buy an appliance or something like an electric razor today. After all, we've sat through a very long post about him buying a phone. Perhaps a different topic would be better for this new post?
Here are some suggestions for the old fellow:
- Changing a tyre.
- I have ants!
- Fighting with a neighbour.
- Whales in the harbour.
- Putting up a wire fence around the bath.
- Would Trump make a good rugby player?
- My pal David Seymour.
- It's great that the government have banned dogs in barber shops!
Yes, that last one would make a great post! I heard on the news that hairdressers can no longer allow dogs onto their premises (except for guide dogs) or serve refreshments. With all that has been going on, people losing their jobs and women's equity being abandoned, this seemed like a big one to me! Hold on, I'm just trying to think of when I last had a haircut interrupted by a barking dog or someone slurping a coffee too loudly. You'd better give me time to think that one through.
That's me for today.
Ciao tutti.
