My elder grandson is roughly my age. Well, both of our ages end with the number 2, so we're close in age. His vocabulary is expanding, and he can now say Andma and Andad. He just struggles a bit with the beginnings of words. He loves buses, trucks, ambulances and cars and shouts their names out excitedly when he sees them. One of these words could easily be misinterpreted, but I know what he means. When he sees my daughter, he shouts out, "Aunty!" He has no problem with her name. He makes a good job with 'ambulance' too. I think he likes words that begin with vowels.
I think Rob is down to one blog - HERE. I don't know if it will last, but I'll put it back on my LINKS list, for old time's sake. Just to be nice.
I must do a little double bass practice today. Just a little.
Violin: I'm still practising my habits, two of which are double stops and 3 / 7 chords. I've discovered, on my solo (unaccompanied) pieces, that, while the 3 / 7 chords give you a lovely jazzy sound, the straight old major and minor double stops give the harmony a clear direction for listeners. At least, that is my latest thinking. I am working on memorizing all the chord progressions both ways so that I have a choice. When I say 'memorize', I mean to a point where mistakes are almost impossible.
You'll notice that I am using quite a few American spellings, for example, 'memorize' instead of 'memorise'. This is because my spell check program puts a big red line under English versions of some words. I should really ignore this. I'll have to work on that. Sorry.

Yeah, nice try but I don't think MESGA will catch on as a movement.
Oh, okay.
What about, "Make Authentic Grammar Again."?
Why not ‘Make Authentic Grammar Go Fuck Itself’?
?
Sorry - I meant ‘MakeAuthentic Grammar Agamogenesise’.
Is wine much stronger in Christchurch?
Funny you say that. No, we’re at Aoraki Mount Cook doing adventurous things. Only one glass of wine for dinner last night and none the day before. Sheesh!
Hey! Maybe that’s the problem.
