Mercoledì.

The heater near the computer is on and the coffee is made. Bathroom trip completed.

I'll get into school early this morning and get my 3 violin habits done. What? You can't remember what they are!

First comes the warmup. Then the major and minor double stops, along with the three note chords. Then it's time for the 3rd / 7th chords. I've found that, in preparation for the 3rd / 7th chords, it is wise, during warmup time, to spend time focusing on all the notes and positions up to the octave harmonics. It is important, with these chords, to be able to identify them quickly. They can be a bit harder to get to because there is no root to guide you. For example, say I want to use Bm7. I'm looking for the notes D and A. This is where habits are so helpful. I think of these chords when I'm awake and lying in bed.

I hope that Peter is getting over his nursery rhymes.

As my mother would have said, he is becoming a bit of a bore. Time to move on, Peter.

Robert's posts could strive to be a bit more interesting too. In his latest post he writes out the words to some silly religious song. He normally manages a bit better than that.

I know, I know, Peter is going to complain about my violin information. I know he'd be more sympathetic if it was about the bagpipes.

Ah well, you can't please everyone. I wonder if Peter wears a kilt around the house?

Enjoy your Wednesday.

Oh, and no more nursery rhymes in my comments please.

Ciao tutti.

I wear tartan trousers around the house.

What's worn under the tartan pants?

THE CURMUDGEON ha detto...

My tackle through overuse.

Actually that’s a lie. There’s nothing worn under the tartan pants. Everything is in perfect working order only used by an old lady on Sundays.

That's good. Thanks for sharing.

Spike Milligan says thanks too.

Spike wore his bits out quite early according to his war memoirs.
