John 1.6: God should have known this was going to happen. Anyway, I'll continue with the story. Adam and Eve had two boys - they named them Cain and Abel.
"In the biblical Book of Genises Cain and Abel are the first two sons of Adam and Eve. Cain the firstborn, was a farmer, and his brother Abel was a shepherd The brothers made sacrifices to God, but God favored Abel's sacrifice instead of Cain's. Cain then murdered Abel, whereupon God punished Cain by condemning him to a life of wandering. Cain then dwelt in the land of Nod, where he built a city and fathered the line of descendants beginning with Enoch."
Hang on, just one minute. Cain fathered a line of descendants. There are three problems here:
- Cain was a murderer. Are humans all descended from a murderer?
- Who was the mother? Remember that Eve was the only woman around at this time.
- Cain built a city. A city for one person, or did mum and dad live there too? Three people don't make a city.
Maybe now you can see why this 3rd Testament is so important. There are quite a lot of loose ends to tidy up. I recently sat down with God, in Heaven, and we talked about this. He didn't admit to cheating but He said that he had been 'creative'. He said that, when He saw the problem - a lack of females and very few humans, He sprinkled the tiny planet with humans who were created in His own image. He also said that He was very disappointed when Cain killed his brother.
God recommended to me that Bible readers should probably go through the Old Testament in their existing bibles and cross quite a few things out. God suggested that a lot of people involved in writing this book were badly educated and really not up to the task. He also pointed the finger at people who had translated the book into different languages. Hear ye the word of God.
