When there's sunshine, it won't fill your drain,
You can go for a swim or ride in a small boat.
When the weather turns to rain,
You're going to need a raincoat.
We know the sun is always there,
Sometimes clouds just get in the way.
If you like to have a Cleanskin on the beach,
Save it for a sunny day.
Potter was sure he'd seen a huge ship nearby as he backed down his drive.
He smiled and wondered if it was a modern day Noah's Ark.
The weather in Waikanae had been pretty good and a lot of expected rain had not eventuated, though he had heard that it had been bad way up north and bloggers up there had used words like deluge. That made him think how Presbyterians like Trent Torn liked to use unexpected words in arguments.
Potter wondered how his section would react if there was ever a 'deluge' of rain. Truth be told, he didn't have a huge knowledge of drainage systems. He was aware of a neighbour, a mad old guy, who was installing drains everywhere.
No one else really seemed interested. But were they missing the obvious? What if there was a tsunami?
Potter decided to install drains all over his property.
This meant that the path to their clothesline would be a thing of the past for quite a long time.
"The One in a Skirt will not be pleased about the access!" he thought, and then he said, "Shoosh!"
Potter thought about the B&B in Taihape that they had sold. He remembered that life was simpler there, if not a little boring.
Still, they don't get many tsunamis in Taihape.
